Following the September 11 attack, Seaboard
was called in to clean and restore the facade of this landmark
building (which was erected in 1907).
The impact, extreme
heat, and collapse of the World Trade
Center's South Tower had severely
damaged the exterior and left the interior a shell.
SEABOARD:
- Assembled a master team of restoration
specialists and subcontractors with specific
expertise
- Built a spirit of trust, cooperation and confidence to
complete this fast-track challenge
- Approached every phase of the project - from scaffolding
to safety - with the utmost in care and creativity
- Utilized nearly 7,000 pieces of exterior terra cotta to
restore the exterior to its original state
- Brought the project in on-time and under-budget and
received special mention in a feature article in The New
York Times
